to Elm Grove Mountain Retreat
Elm Grove Mountain Retreat is 28 km east of Tumut on the south-west slopes of the Snowy Mountains, in New South Wales, Australia.
Tumut can be reached from Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne by coach (bus stop in Gundagai) or train/coach connection (train stop in Cootamundra, bus stop in Tumut).
When travelling by car the following notes will be useful:
- Arriving in Tumut, proceed down the main street of Tumut (Wynyard Street) to the Tumut River bridge.
- Crossing over, take the first turning right which is signposted Elm Grove 28 km. This road follows along beside the Goobarragandra River, past Lacmalac, past the Triton Trout Farm, the Hume & Hovell Walking Track and Camping Area, Camp Hudson and then passes through the Kosciuszko National Park Sanctuary Reserve on into Elm Grove Sanctuary.
- There is a large sign at the cattle grid, which is our front entrance. The road is tar-sealed all the way to Elm Grove.
